Senior Manager - Alex Sangston

   Alex Sangston
Alex has managed the Producer Offset program at Screen Australia since 1 July 2008 and was Producer Offset Manager for the Film Finance Corporation Australia (FFC) prior to that. Until May 2008, he was at the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) and its predecessor, the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DCITA), with primary responsibility for the administration of the Location and PDV Offsets, the previous Refundable Film Tax Offset (RFTO), the funding of Ausfilm and international film policy. In 2006, he was one of the authors of the statutory review of the RFTO and worked on the broad review of all film funding support measures, which led to the announcement of Screen Australia and the Australian Screen Production Incentive (ASPI), which includes the Producer Offset. During 2007 and early 2008, he was responsible for liaising with the industry and Treasury on the development of the legislation introducing the ASPI and worked closely with the FFC in developing the administrative procedures for the Producer Offset. Prior to moving into film policy in 2005, he was in the Broadcasting Division of DCITA, working on broadcasting content policy, media ownership reform and the anti-siphoning regime, before joining a specialist team developing the content regulation regime for mobile phones and other convergent devices.

Michele McDonald

   Michele McDonald
Michele McDonald is the Program Manager of the Producer Offset and Co-production Unit at Screen Australia. She has been working within the Producer Offset team since its inception in January 2008. Prior to that Michele worked at the Film Finance Corporation (FFC) as an Investment Coordinator, specialising in documentaries. She has also worked at HLA Management.
