Partner countries

Australia currently has treaties with Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, South Africa, Singapore and the United Kingdom, and is a signatory to MOUs with France and New Zealand.

Australia is currently negotiating co-production treaties with India, Denmark, Malaysia and the Republic of Korea, and is renegotiating the treaty with the United Kingdom.

Requests for new arrangements

The identification of new co-production partners and the negotiation of co-production arrangements are managed by the Australian Government department responsible for the arts. Submissions suggesting new partners can be made to the department, based on the Guidelines for entering film co-production arrangements, available here.
